Some improvement in distance since my last posting a few weeks back, although the band is often very noisy some mornings:


1638z  372KHz  GIG  Gingin, Western Australia for 3,221kms 529 report.
1639z  308KHz  MK   Mackay, Queensland for 1,390kms 559 report.
1640z  310KHz  HK   Hokitika, New Zealand for 2,071kms 529 report.
1642z  287KHz  KG   Kalgoorlie, Western Australia for 2,722kms 319 report.
1653z  311KHz  NTN Normanton, Queensland for 1,993kms 419 report.
1653z  278KHz  WS  Westport, New Zealand for 2,081kms 419 report.
1654z  238KHz  KT   Kaitaia, New Zealand for 2,119kms 529 report.
1716z  326KHz  CAR Carnarvon, Western Australia for 3,663kms 319 report.
1719z  233KHz  AYE  Ayres Rock, Northern Territory for 2,072kms 529 report.
1722z  260KHz  NF   Norfolk Island, for 1,755kms 559 report.

Best distance was 3,663kms at 1716z to CAR in Western Australia. :D

Are NDBs being decommissioned in Australia as they are here in the States ?

Pinto Vortando: July 2016 some 156 NDB's were decommissioned in Australia, so very few left.  

Also New Zealand and Papua New Guinea have decommissioned some too. :)

Would be nice Pinto Vortando if you would put the distances achieved with your loggings, gives me an idea what you are experiencing propagation wise at your end. ???
