Lots and lots of activity all over the 11 meter band today.  Worked lots of DX with a barefoot radio (switched between a Galaxy 959 and a Superstar 3900 with only a Hustler IC-100 magnetic mount CB antenna).

Now hearing two truckers talking about oil pumps on 27.505 MHz AM (channel 8 up one band, but commonly known as "channel 50") at 2005 UTC.  Now hearing SSB QRM from 27.500 MHz USB.  New York or New Jersey accents.  These two stations know each other and are likely very close to each other going by the content of their conversation.  They also don't seem to mind the heavy SSB QRM that I'm hearing here.
