I'm hearing an intermittant buzzing sound of about 5 seconds in duration repeated several times, off, the back on again after a few minutes. Interesting easypal waterfall image. 5 seconds duration then repeated after 5 seconds

Skip, I am pretty sure this was Arecibo in a radar mode of operation, centered on 5100 kHz.  20 kHz wide bursts of 200 Hz rep rate FMCW.  Later they went to 2 minutes on / 2 minutes off on 5100 kHz.  And later yet (0500z) they went to stepping tones.

Interesting indeed Token! The carrier I had on 5089.8 when the Buzzer was off may have been unrelated. I wish they would transmit an EasyPal image for us!  :)

No, the 5089.8 kHz carrier was probably related.  When they were FMCW that carrier was gone, it only appeared during rest times between bursts of FMCW.
