UNID 1710 kHz 0227 UTC 27 Aug 2017

Some deep fades, plus have thunderstorms in the region. At times the signal is very good.

The loggings are from listening to the AFE822x. Also have the Yaesu FT-847 and its a little weaker with more lightning crashes (which is expected).

Have it here too tonight, very strong open carrier prior to music earlier.  S6 but up to S9 at times.  Very nice audio.

0243z: Audio dropped mid-song during Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walking".  S7 open carrier now.

Oh, I just missed the drop... I went to bed shortly after posting that. I did try to get that station on the Sony ICF-2010 with a Quantum Loop, but there as nothing. I thought it was just not picking it up, but now the true answer is clear.
