New FMDX Catch
« on: September 01, 2017, 0842 UTC »
Around 4:25 AM this morning (in southwestern CT), I managed to pull in WUSB on 90.1 FM.  This is the station that is operated out of the University of Stony Brook, on Long Island.  They only transmit with 3600 watts, so it was a significant catch for my area.

Signal quality was fair; the audio was competing with another local station (WRXC out of Shelton, CT) that shares the same frequency.  The station was playing an old school rap song, apparently by the "Funky Four".  Just thought I'd mention it.  :)

BTW, Google places Stony Brook as being about twenty-seven miles from my location.  :)
