6868 kHz 6.868 MHz
USB 6868 USB
While 6900 LSB is booming in now (was weaker earlier) I'm hearing what sounds like an OM talking to several different stations on 6868 USB. OM seems to be a net control of sorts. He's talking to several stations in a quasi-roundtable fashion, and at points seems to be yelling into the microphone. Lots of radio checks and general lighthearted traffic (saying hey, what's up, etc). Not sure if this is freebanders or fishing fleets, as the fishing fleets seem to like the "cute" frequencies, and the freebanders usually stick to 5 kHz channel steps. Of course, there's exceptions to both those rules. The existence of a powerful hurricane in the Caribbean right now could also be part of the reason for increased activity in the 6-7 MHz region on top of the usual peskie frequencies (6900 LSB, 6925 LSB, etc). Good signals with heavy static crash QRN and noise
