UNID pirate station
6880 kHz 6.880 MHz
AM mode
Strong modulation and wideband AM signal, characteristics shared with the UNID daytime station often heard on 6925 kHz AM. Possibly related to the stations that have used frequencies 5150 kHz and 5200 kHz in the past for daytime marathon broadcasts.

1700 UTC - [tune in time] to hear "Run Through The Jungle" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
1701 UTC - Strong S6-S7 signal with very strong modulation but heavy buzzing QRM/QRN making copy a little difficult.
1702 UTC - Elton John - Tiny Dancer
1703 UTC - strong QRM seems to be located around 6879 kHz USB or 6880 kHz USB (and may be local)
1705 UTC - checked one of the NY remote SDR receivers, have strong signal with no QRM there, S7 to S9 very good modulation
1719 UTC - possibly local carrier noticed at 6884 kHz or 6885 kHz
1721 UTC - Bill Withers - Lean On Me
1740 UTC - now S5 or so signal strength with noisy conditions QRN - punching through noise nicely on peaks
1743 UTC - Capital Cities - Safe and Sound
1751 UTC - signal dropped down a bit, fighting noise but can hear bits and pieces of music
1805 UTC - back up to S5-S6 with strong modulation punching through the noise
1807 UTC - Train - Meet Virginia
