UNID Spanish language two way communications land mobile or marine mobile maritime mobile HF SSB 15 MHz band
Frequency: 15792.5 kHz 15.7925 MHz 15.792.5 MHz
Mode: LSB
Time: 1700 UTC (on-going when tuned in)
Hearing two or three stations having a casual CB-like conversation. Several mentions to "the office" and several Spanish swear words heard. In previous monitoring of traffic on 43 meters, I have heard several mentions to "20 meters" - its possible that these are the 20 meter frequencies in question. At 1703 UTC, another station checked into the net (seemed a bit off-frequency), signal reports were exchanged, stations thanking each other for reports, etc. These guys are right below the top of the 19 meter shortwave broadcast band, the closest broadcaster seems to be WWCR on 15825 kHz / 15.825 MHz. The fact that these stations are using LSB is a bit odd, but does match up with lots of the Spanish language traffic on lower frequencies using LSB mode.
Stations went off the air (after signing off with each other) at 1705 UTC.
