Quite a nice signal for 1 KW AM from Mexico City (per shortwaveschedule.com). Really nice Mexican music, quite differenc from what you usually don't hear.

My understanding is that they're running on 5 kW power - someone who visited the transmitter took some photos and there were signs saying that that's their power. That said, it's a nice signal many evenings and it's nice that it's not covered by Brasilia at 6180 (although I do miss that station too - apparently the victim of a transmitter fire and no money in the budget to repair or replace it, whatever it needs).

I miss hearing 6180 kHz from Brazil too! Too bad the transmitter caught on fire.
