Hearing Portuguese chatter on 6880 USB at 2050 UTC on 01-OCT-2017. 6880 kHz has become, over the past few months, a fairly common pirate broadcaster frequency...but it is also popular with the "peskies" or "peskys" (pescadores - that is, fishing fleets, fishery radios, illegal bootleg fishing fleet communications, fishing boat radio, HF marine radio operating out of band, etc). The Portuguese speaking radio nets seem to like to use "cute" or "easy to remember" frequencies, and, while they tend to like LSB mode, have been heard using USB as well.
