UNID Spanish Language 6983 kHz USB 2110 UTC 1 Oct 2017
« on: October 01, 2017, 2113 UTC »
Faint Spanish voices heard near the bottom edge of the 40 meter ham band.  Very minor data QRM nearby.  I have logged 6985 kHz USB several times, but I don't show 6983 kHz anywhere in the logs so this may be a new one for me.  I know that means very little, since these guys literally pick a frequency and go but hey...

SIO 111

EDIT:  At 2113 UTC, a very strong data burst on 6981 kHz USB (possibly ALE sounding?) obliterated the two-way pirate bootleg freebander freebanding QSO going on on 6983 USB.
U.S. East Coast, various HF/VHF/UHF radios/transceivers/scanners/receivers - land mobile system operator - focus on VHF/UHF and 11m
