1620 Pirate? Baltimore Metro Area
« on: November 14, 2010, 1847 UTC »
I've been hearing a station the last few days on 1620, mostly in the afternoon. The programming is a very odd mix of music, including rock, oldies, and instrumentals. Never heard an ID. It doesn't seem to match the formats for any licensed stations on this frequency, which makes me wonder if it is a pirate.

Anyone else hearing this? I'm hearing it right now, 1846z,S3 or so.

I've noticed a "whoop whoop whoop" sound between songs.
