7265 LSB
1525z: Op calling CQ for KD5UMW, special event station for national weather service, San Antonio.  Might be saying "for Austin to San Antonio" or "Austin/San Antonio", not sure.  One contact heard so far but QSO was mostly unintelligible due to poor conditions.

Surprisingly weak signal for 40m in my own state.  Doesn't bode well for propagation.

There's been a bunch of these today in honor of Skywarn Recognition Day.  I've heard WX4MLB from Florida on 40 meters and WX4NC on a 2 meter repeater.

Yup, I didn't catch the Skywarn Recognition Day thing until I Googled the first station I heard on 40m.  Also heard Montana special event station on 14277 USB around 2345z.
