Someone in New Zealand is pranking the police by playing an NWA song on their radio frequency

"The prankster in particular has somehow managed to hack into the police radio frequency in Otago, New Zealand and constantly broadcasts the song down the airwaves."

http://entertainment.ie/music/news/Someone-in-New-Zealand-is-pranking-the-police-by-playing-an-NWA-song-on-their-radio-frequency/401046.htm

The reporter seems confused (as reporters often are), between "hacking" and using a transmitter.

Huh... I've FWR that to some free radio dudes I know in NZ. (I suspect that you know them too.) Anyway, I remember it making national news here when in the 1990's someone aired a Nazi speech on a fire dept FREQ. I don't believe that person was ever caught, but what's the point of doing it on such a FREQ if it only gets you negative publicity? Stupid is, what stupid will be.
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

Maybe they thought the Fire Chief was behaving like a Nazi?  It's been known to happen to them in towns where they know you can't get rid of them because they've got a friend or relative further up the political food chain.

Why do people vandalise anything? Because they want to.

I see these pranks as the same thing. People who want to wreak havoc really don't need a reason. They just do it because it's their version of "fun".
