There's something trying to make it over the propagational hump, but it's not quite here yet.

Relay Station pirate radio station log
24 JAN 2018
5010 kHz 5.010 MHz 5.01 MHz 60 meter broadcast band
AM mode 10-12 kHz wide high quality AM signal

Killer signal at 2127 UTC tune in.  S9 to S9+30db signal nice wide AM audio...sounds like a professional broadcast station!

2129 UTC - Tom Petty - Runnin' Down A Dream
2135 UTC - Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me
2140 UTC - Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
2141 UTC - minor fades down to S4-S5 then quickly back up to S9
2142 UTC - a couple more quick fades but still great armchair copy
2144 UTC - a few seconds of carrier, then back to music
2159 UTC - still going strong at S7 to S9 with SIO 555 broadcast quality copy locally and on several remote SDR receivers
2204 UTC - reggae tune with some very minor fades, now hovering between S7 and S8, still SIO 555
2205 UTC - the propagation gods just smiled, a big signal increase to S9+10db rich full audio
