Amazingly strong here in the southern Owens Valley in early April on a couple of desert-walks when I rolled out a "mini-Beverage" on the ground (mBOG) aimed toward the beacon's direction (southerly) and it was strong on peaks generally mid-day thanks to some decent shorter-skip on 6.7 MHz when a coronal-hole occurs, helping the MUF peak up a tad. I've also recorded it via the KPH KiwiSDR (near where I extensively DXed MW and LW in the early to mid-80s) at Pt. Reyes North Beach.
Via a few listens to KPH rx., I think 6700.4 Hexy2K is about 10dB stronger on peaks than the "Rocky" beacon fast-dashing on 6626.2 kHz (with its stronger paired beacon "Rainy") as it *does* have a good (in-clear) inverted-vee down there in the granite boulder land...
