Chris, as far as I remember, I never heard Madeira in the last week. It must be off...
I am checking my reception here in early evening - interesting, that the DGPS from France, which has same ID than the Brazil produces NO decode in whole early evening...
May be it is off, although, that some people in Europe say they have decoded it...
It my be a small transmitter only, but I am sure, I would hear it also, if Germans say, they have heard...
So my be Brazil was true and the French one was wrong. I got decodes at 22hxx utc - so that is possible.. will check again this evening.
Great your European spots! What is your antenna now ?
Note, that 4x coplanar magnet loops may be not ideal for such low frequency - although inductance go down, the cutoff frequency is may be too high for NDB band...
Chavdar (LZ1AQ) has written a special article, what kind of loop may be best for using on NDB band - in case of CC-loops you should try larger elements around a 30foot fiber mast or a tree...
Otherwise you can try EWE antenna - I measured 15db f/b ratio, which is respectable on 300kHz and which helps to get noise down...
