Everyone:

This is in regards to my earlier email to the list about the alleged
"seizure" of the EAM Watch website, reportedly by American Federal
authorities.

I just spoke to a moderator I know who has spent a lot of time on that
website, has contributed a lot of material to it, and who regularly
participates in chat with other members of EAM Watch.  According to him,
the site owner has said that the website *was not actually seized by the
Federal government*, but was instead, shut down by the site owner himself,
for reasons that seem to be connected to an internal disagreement with a
major contributor to the website's content. (I was sent a confidential
message about this and cannot share much more).

I've also learned that the website will likely be back up by 2200 UTC today.

If I learn more, I'll let you all know. Otherwise, I think that we can all
safely assume that the Feds aren't going to come looking for anyone who
listens to and/or records encrypted and impossible to decrypt information
sent over SSB radio on the public airwaves.

The web site is back up when I checked at 2345z.

PLEASE READ!
Firstly, I would like to apologize about the confusion, and stress that this may have caused, but it was in order to assess an internal security concern in regards to one of our “partners” who was providing assistance in the automated recording and transcriptions setup process. I know many people will believe that this was a publicity stunt, but if it were I would not be providing this background now, or further background and screenshots at a later date. I would like to reassure everyone that I have been in control of the domain and website this entire time.
I find it quite amazing how quickly people who claim to provide factual information relay unverified information and proceeded to distance themselves from this community while also removing messages that showed support for this community and what we do.

I would also like to thank those who actually did some research and were questioning the validity of what was going on with so many fairly clear signs pointing to the fact this was not an actual seizure.

My goal is to ensure those who say they support this community truly do, when I get the feeling the community is being used for others purposes, and people are unable to back up their own claims and maintain a single stance through unknown times I have to do the best thing I can to get to the truth.

I hesitated for awhile about sending the above notice to the Spooks Newsletter, mainly because something just seemed a bit off about the whole thing, i.e., that I had my doubts that the Feds would actually seize that domain for what they were doing there. But even while having that thought, I still got a tad bit nervous, as I have many recordings of EAMs up on my YouTube channel. Admittedly, I was a tiny bit relieved to learn that this was, for all intent and purpose, a stunt of sorts. Everyone handles things in their own way, but I can say that I wouldn't do something similar.
