X-FM 4070 AM 0302 UTC 04 MAR 2018
« on: March 04, 2018, 0304 UTC »
0302 "Everybody Knows" Leonard Cohen, S7 signal in Denver. Thanks for the show!
0304 OM voice, sounds like Redhat, "It has been entirely too long... Recorded on Feb 24 2018..." "It has been about a year"
0307 still speaking, "It has been almost a year and four months."
0309 still speaking, X-FM ID
0310 "Weird Science" Oingo Boingo
0316 X-FM ID, music from The War On Drugs (that's the band name), song called "Pain"
0321 Redhat on the mic, talking about various audio problems. Something squealing in his left channel. Live from Memorex. Email, HFU, Free Radio Cafe reports welcome.
0324 Megadeth "In My Darkest Hour"
0331 "There there, we know the other rock stations suck. X-FM" into "Latchkey Kids" Silversun Pickups
0334 X-FM ID
0335 "Less Than" Nine Inch Nails
0338 Redhat on the mic, email address, says he's probably sitting in the middle of a cornfield with headphones.
0340 talking about all the things he's been working on for his transmissions
0342 "Wrapped Around Your Finger" The Police
0346 "The music sounds best on X-M shortwave"
0347 "You Belong To Me" Carly Simon
0350 X-FM ID into "Walking Back To Waterloo" Bee Gees
0354 cut out for about 10 seconds
0354 Redhat "If you had told me that was the Bee Gees, I would have called you a liar. ... from before disco kicked everyone in the ass." "Coming to you live from a thumb drive plugged into a computer.... mobile station going through a refurb..." "Getting close to the end of the program."
0356 "Criminals" MS MR
0400 X-FM ID (crows cawing) into "Don't Stop The Dance" Bryan Ferry
0404 X-FM ID into "Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea" Missio
0408 Redhat saying it's the end of the show, "the end of the transmitter test." Email given.
0410 "Thanks for tuning in." into "Family" Revis. Redhat came on "live and in the flesh." Concentrate on something more fun. Gave the time (0411) which confirms he's live. 500 watts of power!
0412 "Love Song" 311 (Cure cover)
0415 Redhat never tires of hearing "Love Song." Couple more songs coming up
0416 "My Favorite Mistake" Sheryl Crow
0419 X-FM ID
0420 Redhat on the mic... HFU shoutouts. "Madder Red" Yeasayer
0423 Redhat on the mic.
0424 "The Undertaker (Vagina Mix)" Pucifer
0427 Reports of a jammer on 4065 USB, Redhat recommends recreational drugs, maybe Drano. (FWIW, I can't detect this at all.) ... Transmitter was built over the past year, 500 W power, maybe 2 kW PEP (I think that's what he said). More technical details. Something about Outhouse radio (signal was starting to fade out a bit). Shoutout to me and others on HFU with some responses to what we wrote. (Anytime!) Song recaps. Two songs left, then they have to go. Email given.
0436 "Why" Stabbing Westward
0442 X-FM ID into unidentified and unshazamable track. (Turned out to be "Thank You" but I didn't catch the artist name.)
0447 Redhat with song ID. "Time for us to go... Had a real good time tonight. Thanks for being out there." HFU shoutouts.
0450 "Look Right Through Me" Revis
0451 Redhat back on. "It's been a long, long time, friends." One last track
0452 "A Long Slow Goodbye" Queens of the Stone Age
0457 OFF

Thanks for the show Redhat!!  ;D

S8-9.  Great signal!

Catching X-FM here also just above some serious RFI noise level getting here this evening. Signal is a S9 but noise is a S8. Really tough catch. Redhat chatting at 0306 and talking about being gone too long and post on HFU. THanks Redhat even though it really sucks here. :-\

Pretty good signal here, but the noise levels are high . . . maybe modulation a bit low, too? Said live from Memorex test broadcast. Great to hear back on the air! Said show is from late Feb. 2018

Lots of noise here and faded out, really started to hear you when the heavy metal kicked in. S7 when I could hear you, and fully legible, as usual, with some of the best AM audio quality in the biz. ;) Thanks for the broadcast!
