WRMI spur, 6880 AM, 15 APR 2018, 0055 UTC

Noted on the waterfall when playing back my SDR recording of the 43m band. Carrier visible, but wasn't sure what it was until I noticed modulation. When I tuned I could hear a faint MFSK32 transmission, and got the following decode with Fldigi, starting at 0057 (it was too weak to decode before that time). IBC was on WRMI 7700 at that time, so this was a spur from that broadcast.

 the loss of
the ferry Wahine and the grain ship Maranui, plus a fire at sea
aboard the liner Gothic. Sixty-seven people died in these events.
Fifty years later, those disasters will be commemorated by $ eathkeetPÖe i tr Ñ~H }ip0LA in
June and ZM50MAUQ in
August. Operations will be based at ZL1NZ in Auckland, New Zealand.
Look for activity on 80, 40 and 20 metres CW and SSB. The logs will
be uploaded to Club Log. See http://marieeyewªorg/2018 for more
 details and QSL information.

PIQchbts ---> Francois Botha, ZS4X has notified the SAR/cfice that his old

I used to drop to 6875 when 6925 was busy to tx. That damned spur used to drive me crazy as I thought it was someone transmitting.

The Israeli Army used to do programming for their troops on 6885, but those were short and weak. This one just keeps going, it's now over ten years old.
