 1550z S5 on web sdr. Guessing this is the relay station? ID was Radio Free Connecticut.

Not even a trace of a carrier here at 1754z.  foF2 at Wallops Island is just 4 MHz, so that explains why.

but it was rather interesting that certain online SDR's received the signal quite well though you are absolutely correct, not even the SDR by you showed a trace of a carrier.
Warrenton, VA & West Chester, Ohio were the only two that received the signal with an S7 or better (with fades).
propagation is like playing the lottery :D

I found over the years once the trees started to leaf out being heard was always a crapshoot. I never quite figured it out on HF?

it doesnt really affect the TX on HF since its such a low frequency, it just passes through the leafs and trees but the RF is also absorbed to a lesser extent as well depending on the density of the trees and leafs.
