Radio Free Whatever 6950 USB 2310 21 May 2018
« on: May 21, 2018, 2312 UTC »
Already in progress when I turned on the radio.  S7 and good modulation @ 2310 with "Mary Anne" by Boytoy.  Frequency seems to be around 6949.98
2313 - "Free" Pageants
2316 - Dick Weed with ID and song titles
2317 - concerned about frequency error, re-tuning (and blaming it on Staven)
2319 - seems to be on 6950.0 (or very close) with "Golden Age" Dan Luke & The Raid, nice signal in Kentucky so far...
2325 - "Fine" Neighbor Lady, up to S9 now
2327 - shout-outs [thanks!], then "Mourning Sound" Grizzly Bear
2332 - ID and into "Silver Velvet" The Courtneys, S7 to S9
2336 - "Blue Field" Luxembourg Signal, S7
2345 - "Glass Hand" Vundabar, S6 to S9
0015 - "In Chains" The War On Drugs, steady S9
0042 - Dick Weed talking about the song "King Of Carrot Flowers" that just played.  Originally done by Neutral Milk Hotel back in 1998.
0043 - "Fatherhood" Matthew Logan Vasquez, S8
0056 - shout-outs, getting ready to sign off, email, and 'do whatever'

Great to hear you again!

2300 Sign on time based on the SDR recording.
2313 Music at tune in
2315 Glorious comrade speaking, SIO 222 or so.
2322 Now up to an SIO 333 with music.  fof2 is doing the usual rise just before 0000z, give it a few minutes, and conditions should improve further.

Barely audible out west, but there's something there.
2351 getting louder. Usually this means that the show is drawing to a close. Let's hope that that's not the case.
0051 still on? Awesome. Still pretty faint here, but I've gotten more tonight than I have in a long time, so thanks for that, comrades.
