6770 is used by Old Time Radio, which typically runs all night long on AM. So it is possible someone is hearing OTR in AM mode and someone is hearing another station in USB.  That could cause confusion.

Well, that can be discussed in a public thread. I understand that there can be 2 stations on the same frequency at the same time, so that listeners in different regions can hear one or the other, or both at the same time. But it's almost impossible to keep things tidy on the forum when the listeners are mixing their reports with problematic IDs.

The thread had the subject "Old Time Radio 6770 AM" (that seems to be a milliwatt station, never heard far away). And I was hearing a fair USB station on this side of the ocean. That was surely something else, so I started a new thread under the subject "Unid 6770 USB". Just a few minutes later, my report was 'unified' and changed to "Old Time Radio 6770 AM" !

So I had to add an eye catching line into my report, about that wrong change, it was a quick and dirty line, but with no more intent. I'm sure the moderator had a bad time to make things clear and tidy. For my part, I leave the name of a station as 'Unid' or as 'tentative' as long as I'm not sure about it.

Anything else will be in PM, I hope so.

I heard this station when I took a trip to Florida last November, using just a portable Tecsun PL-600 with it's built in telescoping antenna. I was a bit surprised but very pleased, because based on reports I had read up until then, it was pretty localized to the mid Atlantic/Northeast region. Either good conditions, or maybe it's running more than a few mW. :)

Ray, I don't know the current output power of Old Time Radio (6770 kHz AM), but this station was often audible in Ukraine in year 2015 with quite decent signal:

Old Time Radio seems to be running more than a few milliwatts.  Maybe half a watt?  It's really hard to say.  They are a good indicator of propagation conditions though, and often their carrier is there day in and day out.  Chances are folks have heard Old Time Radio on 6770 kHz AM and Canadian National Radio on 6770 kHz USB at the same time if the conditions are decent enough.
