Got the dasher every 3 secs on 7998 khz...1330 utc...
It has been a good while since I heard it...maybe because
I have been listening for Mini and the Y 8193 beacon...
Looks like Hikers freq has shifted down...

I hike out here in the Colorado mountains almost every morning...I listened on the KA1103
and heard the digital stuff sounded like birds chirping, I think that is what you heard also...
Hiker came though (time 1330 utc )and I even heard what I thought was a dit every second or so...the dit went away
when the digital stuff faded out...

We have the OTHR site NE of here on the NC/VA border, creates havoc at times. Also have the Wera/Codar site below Wilmington (Ft Caswell) that covers the lower end of 8mc. Heard the dits as well, seemed to be associated with the start/stop of the digital signals.

May 23  Time 1200 utc solid copy and then it went away...

Have very good prop to hiker this afternoon/evening.  Its moving the S meter up to a 3 at 2315 utc!
