Mix Radio 6904 to 6900 USB 0137 UTC 15 SEP 2018
« on: September 15, 2018, 0137 UTC »
big signal. "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" BTO into "Linger" The Cranberries. Signal looks like Mix Radio.
0142 "No Time"  live version, presumable The Guess Who but shazam wasn't confirming that.
0148 "Tighter, Tighter" Tommy James
occasional ALE at 6908 USB hitting signal
0152 "Africa" Toto
0156 YL Mix Radio ID
0157 "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" Looking Glass
0159 QSY'd to 6900
0200 "Dream Lover" Bobby Darin (or maybe someone else... can't quite tell)
0201 signal took a big fade
0202 something happening but can't tell what anymore. Sounds like voice but that could be from adjacent peskie. Music heard.
0204 signal coming back a bit, song is "Bravado" by Rush
0207 "Couldn't Get It Right" Climax Blues Band
0210 Mix Radio ID into "Night by Night" Steely Dan (signal back to full strength)
0214 peskie qrm. "Outskirts" Bob Welch
going to just enjoy the show now. Thanks for being on the air!
...
0233 QRT. Last song was "Fly By Night" Rush

Much stronger and clearer above the noise than the two other pirates I've heard this evening. Tuned in at 0139 UTC as The Cranberries' "Linger" played.

I think 6900 USB is a good frequency choice.  6900 LSB not so much.  Some of the operators on 6900 LSB run heavy modulation and splatter onto the upper side.  That, or they just use 6900 USB.  6905 LSB is another favorite of theirs.  Luckily Mix Radio International has a blowtorch signal :D
U.S. East Coast, various HF/VHF/UHF radios/transceivers/scanners/receivers - land mobile system operator - focus on VHF/UHF and 11m
