Over the last couple of days have been hearing the usual's, A, Windy, ZN on about 4102.2, Rainy, but not much from Rocky, Hexy2k, and the Marin ditter on about 8193.8.  Usually hear it during the 2100 utc hour.  None of the 4096 group has been heard here for awhile.  I assume because of prop.

4096 cluster - Re: Heard in northern utah (NUT)
« Reply #2 on: October 30, 2018, 2024 UTC »
Hi Mark,

The 406 cluster is not as powerful as once was almost 20 yrs ago, but they are all on - daytimer Coxie, 24/7 but only 150 mW Haystack and the weakish 100 mW low-antenna Viking...  due to low MUFs I never hear the 6626 stuff anymore, nor MarinDit's second harmonic - it is rare I can hear its fundamental also.  I appreciate your loggings Mark - very much needed...  MB

I meant "4096" cluster.  Back in 2000 and 2001 there were 8 of them!

Over the weekend have been hearing A and Windy regularly.  Have heard ZN on a couple of different freq's,  4095 and up near 4097 as well as near 4102.  Its gotten me to spin the dial more often than just running thru the memories.  Also Haystack a few times.  Rainy, Hexy2k and even heard the marin dit a few times on 8193.4.  Have not heard HI on 7998 in awhile.

Monitoring has been erratic for me here over the last couple of months.  Local QRN/M that comes and goes.  Mostly power line and its connectors I think are to blame.

Have been hearing "A" and Windy regularly.  Sometimes Haystack as well of one of the other long dashers next to it.  over the last couple of weeks both Rockie and Rainy have been heard well both in the mornings and late afternoons here.

Have not heard "HI" for awhile here.  During March prop started to change  and was only able to catch it on SDR's in NV and CA.  ZN has not been logged for perhaps a couple of months.

Finally started to hear HI again over the weekend a few times, so perhaps prop is changing.

Windy and A have been heard regularly.

Haystack before sunrise.  Rocky and rainy as well as hexy 2k.

Been hearing A on 2097 and Windy on 4102 regularly.  Depending on the Propagation.  Have heard Haystack on 4096 though not every day and occasionally Coxie just as the sun rises here.  Rocky and Rainy on 6626 quite regularly in the mornings, Hexy2k on 6700 in the late afternoons here.  Those are the only ones I have been hearing this summer.

Been hearing the regulars here.  But have a new one, have heard it several times now in my mornings so thought I would go out on a limb and hope others may be hearing it as well.  A dasher on ~4097.200.  Only heard here in my mornings and have also seen it on SDR's in NV and CA.  For me its a new one!

Have been hearing the dasher on 4097.20 more often this week.  Both evenings and mornings.  Am also hearing H on 4100.05 tonight as well.  Been awhile since I last heard it here.

Haystack, 4096.4

Dasher, 4097.2
Rainy, 6626
Rocky, 6626 though not as strong as Rainy lately

 :) Hearing Windy this evening at 0105 utc Nov 13,  TMP 73 B 12.1

I would imagine that if the voltage drops again it will shut off until the sun charges the battery back up.

Winter has begun here... again.  It took a shot at us early last month then Fall returned.  But the snow is on the ground.  Noticed Windy was in safe mode last night and this morning but it is back running this evening.  I heard it down to 11.2 volts.  Its at 12 volts at the moment.

Been Hearing
Windy
Haystack
4097.2 Dasher
Rocky
Rainy
Hexy2k
