Drunken DJ Radio 6915 - 3440 USB 0125 UTC 11 Nov 2018
« on: November 11, 2018, 0126 UTC »
0125- Old radio music   fading from noise to 333 here in Colorado
0128- Happy Days are Here Again
0146- Nothing on my receiver at 3440 (but a large noise hump), but others having better success. I will find an SDR, sit back, and enjoy the show.

0157- Several posts showing Drunken DJ Radio- ID Changed
0203- That mic sounded better

0242- Stupid Girl - Garbage -   been enjoying the show - currently on MA SDR

Wolverine's signal booming in here strongest in several months.

Just ID'ed as Drunken DJ Radio on 3440.

Thanks for the shoutout at 0354z. I'm still hanging with you and enjoying the show.

I am unable to access my photobucket account to post more of WDDR's SSTV images.

Found out that I got an imgur account some time in the past.

Wow a four hour and forty minute recording. Thanks for the broadcast WDDR.

Almost zero copy on Wolverine @6915.`

S9+ on 3440!

Would you please play "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morrison?

Thanks! Made my day!

This microphone is better.  I can hear you more clearly.

0238 - S9+ here.

If no one else is posting, would you play anything by Genesis (old school), Supertramp, Yes, or Rush?

Thanks!   There is a reply! :-)

Good enough!

Fungus!  It's what's for breakfast!

I notice you're a fan of the blues.  Do you have any Robert Johnson? Maybe that's a little old for the current set of songs.

:)  Good stuff.  Thanks.  Drinking Bulleit Rye myself, and this sounds great. It does a long way.

Got any Clapton?  Checked the HFU RocketChat and people are still listening.

Speaking of female singers/songwriters Carole King is great.

Allman Brothers?  Also, really old Bob Seger is great.  Of course, I'm from Michigan so I might be biased.

Ooh! Grateful Dead!  Sounds great.

Springsteen:  good choice.

Don't know if you have any Kenny Wayne Shepherd.  He's fairly old but relatively new.

Uh oh.  Fades.  Will hang in there as long as I can.

80s music - back to my youth.

Thanks for the Kenny Wayne Shepherd!

0507 - Still here!  Thanks for the Smithereens!  Signal is improving as the noise floor lowers.

Got any Social Distortion?

How about Robin Trower?

I have to pee, but I don't want to leave the radio.  That's how much I enjoy this.  I may just wet myself.

Any Zappa? No problem. :)

0556 - S9 here.  Sounding great

Thanks, as always, for a great show, and your dedication to great radio.

F-ing A, indeed. :)

0130 - "Happy Feet"
0134 - DJ announcing that he is moving to 3440 khz
0136 - on 3440 khz, "Last Dance With Mary Jane" TP & H, S8
0142 - shoutouts to HFU posters [thanks!], then into "Many Rivers To Cross" Jimmy Cliff

0151 - Drunken DJ Radio ID, then into "Burning Down The House" Talking Heads
0157 - "Tupelo Honey" (for bandarr) Van Morrison
0203 - WDDR trying out another microphone, sounds better.  Also heard from his 'neighbor' (and skipmuck's old flame :)
0205 - "All Day Music" War
0209 - "Every Night" Paul McCartney. (For skipmuck - Robin says she's not mean to him, he likes it that way)
0220 - "I Can Dream About You" DH
0239 - "Stupid Girl" Garbage
0257 - "Can't Find My Way Home" Blind Faith [thanks again!]

0302 - whispering Wolverine ID, thanks for that too! (and thanks to skipmuck for asking)
0304 - "Skull" by Sebadoh (for aquabat)

How about "I Can Dream About You" Dan Hartman?  Thanks!

Maybe "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith or Steve Winwood, or Allison Kraus version?

Listening to the recording this morning, good signal for the whole show.
0557 - "Hard To Explain" Cowboy Junkies - nice choice.
Thanks for another epic Drunken DJ show!

Wolverine about S4 here in the Mojave Desert of California, I honestly think this may be the worst I have ever had Wolverine and still able to copy.  Band is in bad shape.  On the other hand, lower freqs seem OK .... hint  .. hint ...

(edit)  Thanks for trying a lower freq WDDJ, however, no improvement here.  Things are just bad for me tonight I guess.  Cheers!

0143 UTC "Many Rivers to Cross"-Jimmy Cliff
0145 UTC Drunken DJ chat but hard to copy in the noise
0146 UTC "Bombay Calling"-It's A Beautiful Day
0150 UTC DDJ chat, into "Burning Down the House"-Talking Heads
(Music is much clearer than the chat between songs)
0156 UTC "Tupelo Honey"-Van Morrison (Noise level increasing but still above it)
0203 UTC DJ chat and maybe Robin in there followed by jingle
0204 UTC "All Day Music"-War
0208 UTC Much clearer using Chris Smolinski's WebSdr....
How about "Every Night"-Paul McCartney?
Thanks Drunken DJ and Robin! I like it that way! Whatever that means......  ;)
0213 UTC "Feelin Alright"-Joe Cocker
(Using the Westminster MD KiwiSDR tonight since 0208 UTC....directly there is too much noise)
0232 UTC "Go Back Home"-Stephen Stills
Hmmm....how's about "Any World That I'm Welcome To"-Steely Dan? Black Cow is another classic Dan tune!
Quick question....is that so called "Whispery Wolverine" authentic, or is that some imposter whispering sweet nothings?
Thanks for the cool explanation DDJ! Managed to hear that a couple of times over the years!  :)

Just checked and your S3 direct and S7 on the Westminster MD websdr

Hmmm...having been in the IRC, Ryver, and now Rocket chat rooms, I would say maybe 1 poster for every 3 listeners.....just a gut feeling guess though
0318 UTC "Me and the Devil Blues"-Robert Johnson (cool!)

Just about time for me to hit the sack....long day and the Nyquil is kicking in.....thanks for the entertainment and the requests! Wake me up when you get home Robin.....  :)

0404 Not very strong here. Very bummed - I had programmed to record a wide spectrum since I thought pirates might go down to 4 MHz, but this was outside that range. Ah well, will just have to go even wider next time. Thanks for the show DDJ.

0443 signal's much better here now. Enjoying things, and looking forward to your next epic NYE broadcast.

Last time I requested a tune from WDDR, DDR complained about it being too energetic or something, said he was an old hippie. So tonight I'm requesting something really hippie: "Spirit in the Sky". Please and thank you.

Hey man, thanks for playing my request. The story about my moniker...MDK are my initials, and first attempt to get an account at HFU, that's what I picked. But over a week goes by when I registered, I didn't get approval. So I try registering a second account using my wife's old email account, picked MDK2 for the moniker because nothing else was coming to mind, and that one got approved immediately. Eventually the first one got approved but that was weeks later. Just fell in some hole somewhere...

0604 QRT, but followed on same frequency by Drunk Squirrel Radio

Morning after edit - signal was fair while it was on 6915, very copyable here. As noted, 3440 was just too low for the bandwidth I was recording so I missed everything until I got home around 0400. Grateful for the couple of hours that I was able to enjoy the show, however.
