Park your SDR with center freq on 6800 or 6700.  The band is lit up right now from 6200 to 7000 kHz with Spanish and Portuguese chatter.  Heard some English language stuff down in the 62xx range as well (marine traffic more than likely).

6900 LSB is the "home channel" for freebanders.  They'll use 5 kHz steps up and down from there...but once you get a little bit above and below that the "channeling" disappears and its really pick a frequency and mode and go.

They're active all the way from the bottom of the 6 MHz maritime band (6200 kHz) to above 40 meters.  Heard Spanish language chatter on 7700 USB and a couple other frequencies in the 7-8 MHz region (above 7300 kHz).  They're everywhere tonight.  Chances are 2 and 4/5 MHz will be busy too.
