KOOT Mountain Radio 6927 USB 2337 UTC 19 Dec 2018
« on: December 19, 2018, 2351 UTC »
Good signal 44344

2337 - Don't Stop / Fleetwood Mac
2340 - Go Your Own Way / Fleetwood Mac
2342 - ID (om), " ?? Clandestine" >>missed the full station ID<<
2348 - Something's Got A Hold On Me / Etta James
2350-3 - severe UTE QRM  - total wipe-out
2353 - station still there but signal dropped down to my noise level
2355 - Misty / Etta James
2359 - OM came overtop  the music and announced ID but still too weak. Also stated "ending the broadcast"
2359 - signal wiped out again by severe UTE QRM

I played back the recording several times but the signal is too weak to make out the ID. The signal started out so strong but faded down into my noise level and never to return. The voice is very distinctive though I didn't recognize it.

Excellent signal with jazz. Sounded like the announcer said "You're listening to Coot Mountain Radio. We now are ending our broadcast day . . . even though Etta James will live on . . . in more ?? than she is."

SDR recording catch, 2336 sign on, mostly an SIO 444 except for the OTHR QRM.
