(Still!) laying out the Pirate Radio Annual & didn't hear anything on 43m, so I tuned 6200-6300 (nothing) & decided on a whim to check 1710. Have a station with older (maybe '50s or '60s?) country ballads coming in decently. Male DJ came up for a bit, but not quite strong enough to copy. I'm recording it now, but I might check the car to see if it's stronger there. When I came over to post the logging here, I saw the notice posted last night about the station to expect either last night or tonight. I guess this is it? Haven't heard of many country music MW band pirates.

Really faded & I'm just getting occasional bits. Around 2233, I got a few bits of a '50s pop song that I think I know, but need to hear a bit more of it to ID

2238: Sounds like some PSAs, but I'm not sure if these are the pirate or the Hudson Co. NJ TIS

2245: The Shirelles "Chapel of Love"

Multiple IDs by DJ Rocky Roberts as taterpatchradio.com, WPEX Southside Virginia.  Also some dropins by YL mentioning 1630.  Nice mix of oldies; strong signal here, 30 miles north of Raleigh.

Good signal again this evening from taterpatch - songs heard matching the Taterbot listings on their website.

I've had something there coming over the noise the past two-three nights, but not enough to ID the music or the song.

It does seem to be coming from the general direction of Southside. My Grandma was born near there, I ought to know.

I'm waiting for them to play the comedy stylings of Gene Tracy. Gene died much too young, two years after Elvis. Gene was the more talented of the pair, and much better looking.

Taterpatch is back on 1710 - nice signal here in NC just before sunset with no trouble from the recently-malfunctioning Hudson County TIS blowtorch.

Pretty sure they were on within the last couple of evenings too, but signal tonight is much better.

Driving back from the Winter SWL Fest, I tuned to 1710. Heard Bruce Springsteen "Cover Me" at 0101 UTC with a decent signal, so I thought maybe it was Tater Patch.
