There are different ways you can produce stereo in your transmission. But most of all the listeners won't bother to decode it anyway. A easy way is just to post process the audio with pseudo stereo in real time that way any station that is listened to will have this effect. Even though it is not true stereo the I/Q with its 90 degree phase shift between L /R sounds cool.

 :D Yes, thanks for the tip. Years ago I was SHOCKED by a TV set I had that had two speakers , but not stereo channels.
One day I swear to God, I thought I had gone MAD, the set was giving perceived echoes my brain decoded as BEHIND me. I told my students this and began to research acoustics. Some TV stations were using this time or echo diversity back circ 1987 ..
Its amazing to hear it. Quite unbelievable and I wonder if everybody's brain can catch it?
