5598 MWARA NAT-A (Aviation)
« on: March 23, 2019, 1941 UTC »
Good opening this evening, my time, at 0755z on 5598 with Santa Maria, Azores ATC 5X7 and also on same frequency New York Radio a fair 5X2 report, I could also hear Shanwick in Ireland very weak in the background, rare to hear all three on the MWARA NAT-A frequency at once.

The two Europeans are via the Long Path for just over 22,000kms whilst New York is via the Short Path for 16,059kms.

However, I could not hear New York Radio on 5520 CAR-B nor 5550 CAR-A frequencies despite propagation being open, maybe they use a lower power level on the two Caribbean frequencies?
