5090 AM playing oldies music.
No ID, no announcer. I just happened to scan across it at 0540 UTC and they abruptly shut down seconds before 0600 UTC. +10 over signal, mininal fading with propagation. My grid square EN11.

Most likely you were hearing WTWW which is on 5085 and plays oldies at night. It's a big enough signal to hear if you don't tune. (Be sure to tune past an unfamiliar signal, then go back to find its true frequency - and narrow bandwidth filters help with that too.)
