Radio Pirana beacon 2326 UTC 6342 AM 19 April 2019
« Reply #1 on: April 19, 2019, 2330 UTC »
2326 UTC I'm hearing the beacon with a fair signal by off tuning to 6341.2 USB to avoid the utility QRM on 6342 + khz, which is quite loud. My first time hearing the beacon!  :)
2331 UTC Off tuned to 6341.4 USB now and still audible
Still audible at 2341 UTC and I was able to zero beat it to 6342 AM
Hmmm...maybe this is some other beacon? The Radio Pirana website says the beacon is off....  ???

Hi Chris!!

Yes it was on. Yes there was a mistake that the website said that we wasn't.
The beacon was on from just before 22 UTC up to 07.45 UTC today.

And the recorded catch confirm that it was our Beacon!  I will send you a
eQSL later. Thank you so much!

Jorge

THANK YOU for confirming that I was indeed hearing the RPI beacon!  :) :) :)
