Fair reception in Oakland, CA.  PL-880 using its wire antenna.

1519 OM with significant Asian accent giving news briefs in English.  Between accent and fades, picking out about every third word..."Communism", "corruption", "founder of Korean Army".

Sorry, was out.  Did try 11710 at 1530, no luck.  I believe (per short-wave.info) they are only on the frequency until 1557.

Was just listening here in Denver too. It would be interesting to see what reception in Oakland is like other times of the year, because right now is the time when their signals really start rolling into and is the best time of year for their broadcasts. I had them at 0430 on 13760 good and 15180 fair, for example, even though sunset was nearly three hours earlier. I imagine that West Coast listeners get better reception most of the year but maybe it's peaking for them as well. If the pattern from recent years holds, it will stay strong into early June and start fading after that point. (But then we'll finally get KBS World's simultaneous English broadcast on 15575 for a few weeks.)
