Tentative ID as WRX, 6925.5 AM
« on: September 27, 2008, 0957 UTC »
Possibly WRX but IDs obscured by static crashes (thx, DimBulb, for help with ID).
9/27/08, 6925.5 AM
0200z - Dance mix version of Talking Heads "Psycho Killer" with rooster crowing synced with phrase "Qu'est-ce que c'est".
Possible ID obscured by noise.
0210z - Sudden signal increase, OM talking about problem with crystal on 6950? Into music now.
0216z - Op talking about test transmission, special "F**k you!" shout out to Vladimir Putin.
0218z - "We'll Meet Again" (Vera Lynn?)
0220z - Off after audio clip of Slim Pickens from "Dr. Strangelove"

Quirky show, lotsa fun!  If this was a live WRX show, it may indicate a return of a dormant pirate.  Confirmation appreciated from folks who might recognize this op from the attached audio clip.

SINPO - 43132, good signal and audio at times, fierce static crashes and QRM from adjacent utes.

(N. Central TX - Palstar R30C with 25' outdoor magnet wire.)

Approx. 10 minute audio clip: http://www.mediafire.com/?ycmtzzaninm
