XFM, 6915 USB
« on: November 01, 2011, 0231 UTC »
Just happened across "Welcome to Radio Free America" at 0229 (sign on?), then into music at 0230.

Update: It's XFM. ID at 0234 UTC. Much better signal here in Seattle than on the previous time I heard them.

Update 2: S-5 signal. Will have some audio clips later. Thanks for the shout out and for the show!

Fairly strong S-4 into northern Canada but I have interference from another station on the freq. Clear I.D.'s of "X-FM" and "The Power of X". Great to hear you again.!
Update---Got them in better now as the only station on the freq. "Might as well be walkin' on the sun" song.

Great signal into AZ tonight. Little bit of fade but otherwise a great Halloween show, great selections so far.

Sounds like they were transmitting SSTV at about 0340z. Anybody catch that?

No recording or decoder up at that moment. Arrggh!

Yep, did hear the SSTV cutting through the noise very nicely, but also no setup here to capture/decode the SSTV.  :'(

Snagged about 50 minutes of audio, starting at 0233. Stopped recording about 5 minutes before the SSTV started  >:(

Nary a peep here in Foat Wuth, and I tried several times.  XFM usually seems to be all or none for me, either a booming signal or none at all.  Dadgum Swiss cheese ionosphere.
