I found this at 1245z, completely unexpected and the first time I've logged this broadcast. It faded very significantly by 1300 though.

Nice to know that Turkey is still on the air. I haven't heard them since the late 1990's, when I would listen for several hours every evening on the 31 meter band -- Turkish speech, and lots of Turkish sanz and cumbus music.
An AM radio Boombox DXer.
+ GE SRIII, PR-D5 & TRF on MW.
The usual Realistic culprits on SW (and a Panasonic).

Not sure where your QTH is, but they're a regular copy for me each night, although it's been a couple of years since it last came in really well. 9515 kHz 0300-0345ish, going to interval sometimes for the full remainder of the hour, other times cutting off after only a few seconds of it. Anyway, that's standard for the "a" part of the year. It rolls down to 49m for the winter and usually can't be heard here anymore, with occasional exceptions.

I'm in the PNW. Euro signals generally have to travel over the auroral zone to get here... And I think Turkey cut their hours to Europe. The signals I used to get were beamed to Europe (probably Germany), 5-6 hours worth a night. Those were the days.

Thanks for the info, though. Will give them a try on 31 meters.

I feel ya there. This beam is supposed to be for our benefit (i.e., this is the "Western North America" beam) but it's been a less than ideal copy since the solar cycle really started bottoming out. Although I did get a pretty good copy for an evening in May, making me wonder if there are any tx issues going on. Sometimes it comes in significantly off frequency, like 9515.7 kHz. One evening it was good, cut out for a few, came back weaker as if they had switched transmitters or else had reduced power. I'm pretty certain that they're not running 500 kW as advertised. Anyway, people further east can usually get this better than us, but it's been a while since I hopped on an online SDR on the coast to compare.  I should do that tonight.
