1720 UTC been sitting on Channel Six 27025 for about 20 minutes, heard a QSO between Motormouth Mall (or is that "Maul"?) from "the west coast" who sounds like he's right in my neighborhood, cleanest and strongest signal I've ever heard. He was QSOing with someone in Erie PA. Hearing various other folks including at least one female op, but not too many other locations mentioned.

Did some mobile listening on the Galaxy DX 959 (until the PLL starting doing weird things and jumping all over the band) and channel 6 (27.025 MHz) along with channels 11, 22, 26, and 28 were all very active.  Worked a station in Florida on channel 38 LSB (27.385 MHz LSB) barefoot (around 15w PEP) with a simple PDC1600 base-loaded antenna.  Noted activity on 27.425 LSB, 27.455 LSB and 27.465 LSB.  The guys on 27.465 MHz LSB also appeared to be in Florida.
