WQYV910 Quakertown PA 1620 TIS 1109 UTC 14 Jun 2019

I was checking 1620 for the semi local pirate, and found the Quakertown PA TIS, which is often heard here. Mixing in with another station or three, but occasionally solid copy.

South Bend, IN. usually rules the roost on that frequency after dark here. As I was tuning around looking for coverage of the NBA finals last night there were a lot of stations rolling in on the X-Band.

I couldn't make half of them out, but there were a bunch of them up there.

The X band is my favorite part of MW. It's not too crowded, easy to get DX, there's pirates and super weak TIS stations  mixed in.

Hearing old reliable Quakertown again at 2102 UTC 14 August 2019, using the 950 ft LoG (Loop on Ground) antenna.

The T2FD results in the semi local pirate instead.

And heard again 1940 UTC 1 Nov 2020. 101 miles, not bad for 10 watts. I seem to have some sort of direct path to Quakertown PA. Actually I think it could be because I have lots of ancestors buried there :)
