RADIO MONTECARLO 1730 AM 2140 UTC July 18
« on: July 19, 2019, 1336 UTC »
Hi,
My name is Jorge and I write from Northern Spain where my current QTH is located. Last night I had a signal on 1730 Khz booming in the receiver. It identified as 'Radio Montecarlo' and the genre of music aired is 'Ibiza Sound' and Chill-Soft House.

Any idea of the origin of this radio signal? I have searched on internet but I did not find anything, but the 'official' RMC FM station from Mónaco & Italy.

Thanks in advance,

¡Buen DX!

Hi Jorge.

There is a pirate station Radio Monte Carlo (Zender Monte Carlo) in The Netherlands. But it used to broadcast on frequencies in the range of 1600 - 1700 kHz nowadays, so it could also be some another "Monte Carlo". Dutch stations are transmitting above 1700 kHz quite rarely.
