KAOS 6931 usb 1435 utc 4 Jul 2019
« on: July 04, 2019, 1436 UTC »
Fair reception from West Beach, Hammonasset State Park, Madison, CT.  PL 880 with its wire

1435 Unid music, maybe Dixieland?
1445 OM talking but not clear enough to decipher, maybe “How are you doing?”
1455 OM to music, not Dixieland, but can’t ID
1505 ID special matinee show.  Mentioned Pink Floyd, reception picking up.
1522 OM talking about God Bless America, soldiers, why America, underscoring with f-bombs

Thanks for ID, Dave 😎. Back at you. Skippy, thanks for 6931 a little better.

1458 nothing out west, but sounds like late Pink Floyd or solo Roger Waters on the Smolinski SDR. Good signal there. NOTE frequency is 6931 not 6930.
1507 Bluegrass sounding music, but sounds like they have a synth mixed in with it and more intense vocals than usually associated with bluegrass. Interesting. I should Shazam that....
1508 KAOS ID (maybe the Roger Waters stuff was from Radio KAOS? Seems kind of obvious now that you think about it) into next tune. (Nope, per Skip it was Pink Floyd, ust have been from The Final Cut.)
1512 have to tune out now, got a busy day ahead of me. Thanks for the show and Happy Independence Day to y'all.

Booming S9 plus into Maryland outside on my PL660 and 40’ of speaker wire across the roof of my shed. Heard talk about church’s religious head wear then playing some Bruce Born in USA followed by Goin Down. Great Audio quality for SSB on 6931 USB.
listning to the world on 200' of wire  assisted by a host of Hallicrafters,Icoms,Heath Kits and Radio Shack radios.  Stevo in Maryland
