Field Day 2019, this weekend june 22 - 23.

Field Day 2019,   http://www.arrl.org/Field-Day   , so all, but the WARC Bands and 60M, will be hopping. Even a PSA for it. Now, if only the T-storms can stay away.
I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

I won't be able to attend Field day officially this year, but look forward to working some stations. My last Field day I was assigned with 80m CW at 9:30 am...... very exciting. I also remember there was an Italian man there working 20m CW. He was an excellent operator with a great fist, but what a diva. He was making request as if he was a celebrity and acted as if everyone should just be enjoying the privilege of basking in his glory.

I stopped by one of the club setups in a city park yesterday to see what was going on.  I noticed a lot more CW and FT8 operation than in previous years.  Despite conditions, they seemed to be making good progress.
