7170 LSB rap music! 2315 19 July 2019
« on: July 19, 2019, 2331 UTC »
hey guys I haven't checked in for awhile anyway there's a lot of activity on 40M...I'm very sry idk the exact time I was not prepared for this but we'll say very close to 2315 UTC today 19 July 2019.
Someone was playing rap music! I thought it was a pirate music broadcast but after the song ended I have not heard anything more on or around that frequency BUT SO I thought I heard the end of a music broadcast; I logged on here to check it out and give you guys my reception report but I don't see 7170 KHz listed here! Did anyone else hear this?
It sounded just like the pirate music shows. Unfortunately I don't know the artist or anything about the song.

...anybody else hear that? It was weird

The 7.200 MHz LSB / 7200 kHz LSB crowd might have just QSY'ed down to 7.170 MHz.  That, or somebody is just having fun (or "fun"?) on 40 meters and picked 7170 LSB for whatever reason.

I say if you're willing to transmit music within 40 meters, why not play music on 43 meters?  Different mindsets at work, I suppose.
U.S. East Coast, various HF/VHF/UHF radios/transceivers/scanners/receivers - land mobile system operator - focus on VHF/UHF and 11m
