It is not russian 100%. Sounds Portuguese for me.

Sounded kind of "Eastern European" to me, but I'm open to correction.

After English and very rusty school-boy French identifying any language is a bit hit and miss for me ... typical Brit, our idea of speaking a foreign language is to speak English slowly, loudly and with an inaccurate, patronising accent :)

I've mistaken Portuguese for Russian till I've heard enough of a convo to note the diff often enough.The weaker or qrm'd qrn'd they are, the longer it takes for me to figure it out.

No problem. It's often not easy to identify language in the case of free conversation (in comparison to announcer's measured speech on an official radio station).
