I'll just chime in here to share my observation that RNZI on 13840, especially the last hour or so that it's on that frequency before changing to 9700 @0500, has been ringing in as clear as a local station. It's been wonderful. I think a big factor is that I observe this best with my 20m inverted V dipole which is not only situated well for signals from the South Pacific but is close to the resonant length of that frequency. But it's usually still quite good on 9700, but noticeable more fades and lower peaks. Will enjoy this as long as conditions and their choice of frequencies combine to make this work.
