Re: UNID 6925 AM 1822 UTC Sep 3 2019. WREC???

Got a tip that WREC is on at 18:45UTC. If that is them, super, super, weak. I had to go to USB mode just to DET the carrier. Closer to 19:00UTC, I can now just make out guitar licks.

19:50UTC: Can make out the artist being Hupastank. Listening in USB 6924.940kHz. Can make out the song lyrics that's just above the noise level here. Noise about S3 here, and station is just above that.

UPDATE 20:32UTC: 6925USB, (Right on FREQ.), mode only now. Signal now an S4 playing what sounds like show tunage. Audio just narrow voice FREQ. (Gotta' go to work now. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....)

I was asked, yet another weird question, of how I would like to be buried, when I finally bite the big one. The answer was actually pretty easy. Face-down, like a certain historical figure in the late 1980's, (I will not mention who, but some of you will get it, and that's enough.) Why??? It would be a burial that will satisfy everyone: (1) My enemies will say that it will show me where to go. (2) On the same point, I can have my enemies kiss my butt. (3) It will temporarily give someone a place to park a bicycle. See??? A WIN / WIN for everyone.

As you know, Dood, Labor Day weekend is only the end of summer for kids going back to school, for low to medium powered HF pirates it happens some time towards the end of October/early November.

Hmm... it just struck me that pirate season is the opposite of hurricane season. Stay away from Al's place at Shady Acres and you're as golden as Trump's Flush o' Matic throne.

I had weak music (and some talking) coming in around 1845 UTC via both AM and USB modes here but could only hear it in USB after 1900 UTC. Again, weak but audible.

It faded in and out the rest of the past hour or more, both with just my Eton's whip and later with the short indoor wire I have, culminating with strains of Alice in Chain's "Rooster" just before the station signed off a little while after 2000 UTC.

It's not easy hearing pirates this time of day way out West, but PJ was doing something right at times!

2058 UTC: Still a trace of music here.

2128 UTC: Music's still surfacing above the noise pretty regularly here.

WREC on 6925 usb, and signal is S8...a bit above the noise levels. Sounds like a great show.
