Marine Radio's used for amatuer radio?????
« on: September 06, 2019, 1354 UTC »
Alright, I'm new to Amateur radio and wanting to get a base station. I currently have several Furuno transceivers and antennas which are from scrapped freighters.

I have downloaded all the manuals but they are consist of MF's info and was wondering which of these would work as a decent base station for me to start off with.

I currently have the following:
Furuno SSB Transceiver FS-1503
Furuno SSB Transceiver FS-1562-15
Furuno DSC/Watch Receiver DSC-60

There are approximately 6 more coming in as well and will update this when I get them.

I appreciate your time and assistance!

John
