XFM 4185 AM 0120 UTC 28 Oct 2019
« on: October 28, 2019, 0125 UTC »
S7 to S9, with a few deeper fades with ethereal music
0124 - XFM ID loop
0132 - 'XFM is now on the air', mostly S7 with some quick fades, best on the pennant and the vertical.
0135 - "AM Radio" Everclear
0137 - Redhat talking, mentioned they may be a little weaker than normal due to antenna issues
0214 - starting to get some deeper fades with "Rexall" by Dave Navarro, S5 to S7
0301 - still holding in there, S5 to S7, narrowed up the audio to 3k to minimize the hiss.  "Beautiful Day Without You" by Royksopp
0306 - getting a few peaks up to S9 now, Redhat announcing that it's time to go.  Gave shoutouts [thanks]
0313 - off.  Thanks for the show!

A video of a few minutes of my reception can be found here: https://youtu.be/8baL1dM_hbY

Found this at 0133 - I was expecting this at 4190 or 4080. Ah well. Signal is not very strong at all, unfortunately.
0157 Picking up some strength, hopefully. Song with YL singer
0158 Redhat now recognizable on the mic
0200 back below the noise
0201 came back up enough for me to hear X-FM Shortwave ID

Catching the X on 4185 at 0135 with AM Radio playing, then into chat about signal being not as strong due to antenna problems along with mentioning listeners posting on the HF Underground. Signal is about a S6 mixed in with the noise, mention email address at 0143. Tough copy here RH. Thanks for for the test this evening. :)

I am just getting around to listening to the SDR recording now.  I used the 950 ft LoG antenna which was apparently not a great choice for 4185 kHz, SIO 111/222 most of the time.
