Excellellent reception

During the evening of November 16 EST, I was traveling from 19 degree Hanover, NH back to balmy 29 degree "Southern" Connecticut spinning the dial to listen to flagship terrestrial broadcasts of college football games.  During my almost three hour trip I picked up the college broadcast of Navy (WBAL), Syracuse (WHAM), Kentucky (WHAS & WCKY), Cincinnati (WLW), and Rutgers (WOR).  None of the aforementioned are a great surprise but in western Mass. (aka "Skippyland") through just south of Hartford, the U/Georgia broadcast came in superb on 750 WSB but disappeared closer to my qth.  That is my experience with home based radios, just never able to receive WSB and my local environment with far less man made interference than traveling through Springfield and Hartford.

0015-0030 Two very excited OM's on call of end of Auburn/Georgia football game, Georgia manages to hold off Auburn's last drive, run out clock, and win 21-14

Tecsun H501x (broadcast received on this unless noted), Zenith T/O G500, Zenith T/O Royal 7000, Emerson AR-176, Zenith 8S154, T/O 7G605 (Bomber), Tecsun PL-600, Tecsun PL-880, Zenith 5S320, Realistic DX 160 using 40 feet of copper wire.  With apologies to Senator Gramm for his thoughts on firearms, "I have more radios than I need but not as many as I want."
QTH:  Durham, Connecticut (rural setting, 15 miles north of Long Island Sound)
